The continent of Avalon is divided into 3 distinct regions:
Ashfall:
The region of Ashfall is home to the city of Ashfall, a city that stands between volcanic mountains. The city is said to have been made by an awakened being that had the power to manipulate the composition of certain earthly elements; this said individual was able to create a city made of stone that can withstand the fiery destruction of lava. because of this whenever a volcano erupts, the citizens just go into lockdown until the eruption stops, and the lava is gone. The people of Ashfall have a rugged vibe to to them, and are known for having intense personalities.
notable characters from Ashfall: “Desert Rogue”, and “Backline Archer”.
Genesis:
Genesis is the largest city in Avalon and is located in the middle of a vast desert. At the center of the city stands a massive temple where the ruling class lives, while the rest of the population resides in the city that spreads around it. Even though Genesis has a traditional appearance, it is known for being highly advanced and educated compared to other cities in Aurora.
Genesis became famous because it was the first city to experience an awakened being after the Awakening Meteor struck near it. At the time, the city was struggling to survive due to the harsh desert climate and lack of food. The first awakened human was a man named Ra, who gained the power of chlorokinesis, allowing him to control and grow plants. Using this power, Ra was able to grow crops in the desert and feed the starving people of Genesis. With food and renewed energy, the citizens rebuilt and expanded the city into the thriving civilization it is today.
Because of Ra’s power to bring life to the desert, many people began worshiping Osiris, the God of New Life, and a religion formed around this belief. However, in Genesis awakened beings are not treated as rulers over others. Instead they coexist with ordinary citizens, and both work together to help the city continue to grow and prosper.
notable characters from Genesis: “Private Moriarity”
The Avalon Jungle:
The Avalon Jungle is known as the most dangerous jungle in Aurora. It is an incredibly dense and wild region filled with deadly wildlife, thick vegetation, and countless natural dangers. Because of this, very few people are willing to enter the jungle, and most travelers avoid it entirely.
Another reason the jungle is feared is because it is home to the mysterious Avalon Tribe. Very little is known about them, but they are known to be extremely protective of the jungle and do not welcome outsiders. Those who attempt to explore the jungle are often forced to leave or are never seen again.
Deep within the Avalon Jungle, the Avalon Tribe has built beautiful temples that blend naturally with the surrounding ecosystem. These structures are carefully designed to coexist with the jungle, hidden among massive trees and thick plant life, making them nearly impossible for outsiders to find.
notable characters from The Avalon Jungle: “Eloa, The Resurrector”, and “Pantera Negra”.
KRAG:
The continent of Krag is divided into 2 distinct regions:
Tombstone:
The city of Tombstone is an isolated settlement that very few people from outside ever visit. Its remote location behind the volcanoes of Avalon makes it difficult to reach, and most travelers avoid the journey altogether. The nearby city of Ironforge also discourages visitors, as it is known for being hostile toward unknown ships that pass through its surrounding waters. Because of these dangers, many merchants and travelers choose safer routes and never pass near Tombstone.
Due to this isolation, Tombstone feels like a city that has not fully caught up with the rest of the world. The town has a rugged, old fashioned atmosphere and its streets resemble those of a western cowboy town. Wooden buildings, dusty roads, and a slower pace of life give Tombstone a distinct identity compared to the more advanced cities of Aurora.
notable characters from Tombstone: “Undead Cowboy”
Ironforge:
The city of Ironforge is one of the greatest mysteries in Aurora. After news spread across the world about awakened beings appearing, the leaders of Ironforge made the decision to completely cut themselves off from the rest of civilization. Massive fortified walls were built around the entire city, turning Ironforge into a heavily defended stronghold that no outsider is allowed to enter.
It is rumored that Ironforge does not allow any awakened individuals among its citizens. Many believe the people of Ironforge are trying to preserve what they see as the purity of human DNA, fearing that awakened powers could change humanity in unpredictable ways. Because of this belief, they chose isolation rather than risking the influence of the outside world.
Ironforge is known to have the strongest defenses and most fortified walls in all of Aurora. Their military exists primarily to guard the city and prevent outsiders from approaching. Ships that sail too close to Ironforge are often met with immediate hostility, which has given the city a reputation for being extremely aggressive toward anyone who enters its waters.
AURELIA:
The continent of Aurelia is divided into 6 distinct regions:
Auric Vale:
Located in the north west part of the continent featuring a fortified city with purple tiles. Auric Vale is home for the strongest force of the continent; the Nova Terra empire. The Nova Terra empire believe that the powers brought forth by the awakening meteor is a sign to leave the old world behind and create a world where powerful awakened beings rule and care for their people. In Aurelia, the Nova Terra empire have control over, Gleamstead, and the Underground; They also have alliances with the people in Lon, and the Aurelian Islands.
notable characters from Auric Vale: “Jarretec, The Cursed Mage”, “Steph, Soul Guide”, and “Private Investigator”
Gleamstead:
Gleamstead is a lively city located south of Auric Vale and is known as the heart and light of Aurelia. The city is always active, with markets, entertainment, and trade happening day and night. People from all across Aurelia travel to Gleamstead to experience its constant activity, especially its famous colosseum where fighters and performers compete before large crowds.
Anyone entering the city from the south must pass through a guarded gate controlled by the Nova Terra Empire. Tension exists with the Waterstone Kingdom to the south because many in Waterstone distrust Nova Terra and believe the empire may try to attack and take over Aurelia. Because of this fear, Nova Terra soldiers inspect travelers from Waterstone territory to ensure they are not carrying unnecessary weapons or entering with hostile intentions.
On the northeastern side of Gleamstead is a busy trading port that connects Aurelia with the continents of Sakura and Avalon. The port is secretly controlled by a mafia-like group led by Diego and his second in command Ian, who keep trade running smoothly but are dangerous figures that few people want to cross.
notable characters from Gleamstead: “Ian, The Hitman”, and “Diego The Don”.
Lon, Viking Village:
Located north east of Aurelia, just north of the trading ports of Gleamstead extending all the way to the snowy mountains in the north. Lon, is home of some of the strongest warriors in the continent but despite their strength and appearance the vikings of Lon choose to live a peaceful life with their people.
notable characters from Lon: “Hel, Death’s Shadow”, “Ulf, Viking Warrior”, and “Young Astrid”.
The Underground:
Located south of Gleamstead, the Underground is a quiet and mostly abandoned area known for its ghost town appearance and very small population. Long ago it was considered part of Gleamstead itself, but over time it was neglected and eventually forgotten after the Nova Terra Empire took control of the city.
Despite its empty streets and crumbling structures, the Underground is not completely deserted. A group known as the Rebellion lives hidden within it. The members of the Rebellion strongly oppose what Nova Terra has been doing across the continent and believe the empire will stop at nothing to force its vision of a new world onto Aurelia. Because of this, they operate from a secret hideout somewhere within the Underground, quietly gathering allies and preparing their forces in hopes of one day rising up to challenge the Nova Terra Empire.
notable characters from The Underground: “Maxda Lockheart”, “Jimi The Kid”, and “Persephone”.
Waterstone Kingdom:
Located south of Aurelia, below the Underground and past a wide swamp region, the Waterstone Kingdom lies hidden among dense trees and wetlands. The kingdom is built across marshy land where narrow rivers and canals run between many of the buildings, giving the settlement a unique layout where water flows through much of the city itself.
Waterstone is the oldest kingdom in Aurelia and once ruled the entire continent long before the events of the Awakening Meteor, the moment when people across the land began developing supernatural powers. Even after losing its dominance, the kingdom remained strong and proud, known throughout Aurelia for its powerful defenses and extremely loyal warriors. These warriors are often seen wearing full suits of armor and are trained to be highly disciplined and skilled fighters.
The Waterstone Kingdom remains on constant alert because of the possibility that the Nova Terra Empire may attempt to strike against them. Their cities and borders are heavily fortified, and their warriors are always prepared for conflict. Tensions have only grown worse because their access to resources from the north and the major trading port has been heavily regulated by Nova Terra. As a result, many in Waterstone believe the empire is trying to weaken them. The kingdom deeply distrusts Nova Terra, and with both sides watching each other closely, the growing hostility between them feels like a ticking time bomb that could erupt into war at any moment.
notable characters from The Waterstone Kingdom: “Amabely, Blade of Honor”, and “Falco, The People’s Hero”.
Aurelian Islands:
Located west of Aurelia, the Aurelian Islands consist of two rugged islands known for their strong pirate-like culture and love of the sea. Many of the people who live there are passionate about exploration and spend much of their lives sailing across the ocean in search of adventure, treasure, and new discoveries. Ships constantly come and go from their ports, and stories of long voyages and dangerous journeys are common among the islanders.
Life on the Aurelian Islands is often loud, rowdy, and close to lawless compared to the more structured kingdoms of the mainland. The people value freedom and independence, and many sailors and explorers find the islands to be a perfect home. Despite their wild reputation, the islanders understand the power of the Nova Terra Empire and know better than to provoke them. Because of this, the Aurelian Islands maintain a friendly alliance with Nova Terra, allowing the islanders to continue their seafaring lifestyle and explore the seas without drawing unwanted conflict.
